| I know I never post anymore, but I wanted to share this quote from a discussion of the trinity and faith in the face of mystery:
"For some, it is offensive to think that the Christian faith has at its very center a mystery [the trinity], an incomprehensible truth. To them, Christians seem to be calling for a sacrifice of the intellect on the altar of religious confession. In reality, trinitarian faith demands something quite different. It is not a sacrifice of the intellect, but the sacrifice of the pretense of intellectual autonomy: the notion that the mind or reason of man is the ultimate judge of truth." | Recently I have been studying for the A+ IT Tech Certification exam. I am hopefully going to take that by the end of the month (or beginning of next). I'm banking on this being able to land me a better job. Hopefully soon. On that note, I am applying for an IT job at Whitworth University, the Christian College that Melissa went to and that is right down the road from us. It would be a sweet position. I would basically manage the computer labs system: student help, all the computers, planning, etc. It's a bit of a long shot without the certification yet, but maybe it will work!
We have both been pretty sick lately. Long term colds are crappy.
Oh and I got to work with my father-in-law and brother-in-law this weekend fixing a gas leak in my car, trying to fix an electrical problem in colin's truck and putting in part of a sprinkler system in colin's backyard. Good times. |
